Kinesio tape is a form of elastic tape used as a treatment in sports injuries. For many years Lymphoedema clinics have used it to help treat lymphoedema, particularly in areas where compression is difficult to apply. Following assessment from your Lymphoedema therapist you may have Kinesio tape applied to any area of your body, to assist with lymphatic drainage to an area which is less congested. If this treatment is suitable your therapist may then teach you to apply your own Kinesio tape and purchase directly.
